How could anyone say that their life is the worst one on the planet? Even if the entire world agreed [which in itself is ridiculous, obviously] that they have the worst life, isn’t it ultimately the individual who decides how terrible their life is? It’s all relative. This statement is almost another way of wording the age old saying “the grass is always greener on the other side.” From my perspective, this is a true statement.
i think we have to look at in the bigger scheme of things. what was meant in that statement is that it’s natural human behaviour to always compare one’s life with someone else’s that’s better. and not, someone who’s less privileged than we are.
one person has it worse than anyone else. if you assume that person cannot read, then it would still be a true statement since the person would never be able to read the statement and they could not verify that it is false. …using “always” makes it more complex however, since throughout all time (as “always” is used in the statement) it is impossible that one person will always be “the worst” and so even more people are potentially “the worst”, otherwise it would only apply to the single “worst” person at a given moment. if there was only one person alive (which will eventually happen, even if just for a nanosecond) then the statement becomes 100% false.
it is also more likely using always that a given person could be the “worst”, even if just briefly, and the statement would then also be false.
c’est ce que je pense chaque jour … pas le droit de se plaindre, on a mille raison d’etre heureux !
Not totally true. What if your life is the worst one on the planet? Then it cant be worse the someone else’s. I do understand where you are coming from though as my life is better than most peoples.
