During my schooltime, they often rearranged the classes, and every time you could observe the same spectacle of clique formation and the coronation of a new victim. And every time the choice fell on me, they harassed me and pushed me around. Until that was, the day they recognized my ability to draw and every time they stopped their behavior towards me… going on to choose a new victim. If these people really had a problem with my personalitiy, they would have gone on with the harrassment.
I started thinking about what their real motives could be, what drives their childish sadism and my conculsion was: It’s the school system, which has no interest in the personal will; and they adopted this attitude (consciously or unconsciously) to compense their anger. It’s the never-ending dump atmosphere of a schoolday which accelerates this aggresive behavior, like the realisation of being buried alive.
It’s maybe also the experience they gained from home; when their parents punished them, because they break rules. It’s the awarness that their parents are captured in a similiar system, which drags its inmates even more then the schoolsystem, so: school isn’t out forever. It’s the fact that it is easier to destroy something, instead of building it up… especially when the target is someone who didn’t belong to any group and has little selfesteem. Their harrassment is directed through prejudices, and not through the core of one’s personality.
Thats why harassment is nothing personal. Of course it bothers me; but I’m also glad about it, because through this I almost immediately see what kind of people are around. Of course I can’t see the core of them, but I see who is a squaller, who a follower and who is a thinking person.
